Los Blancos' Trent Alexander-Arnold Might Return to Face Liverpool in Upcoming Champions League Fixture

The English defender training

The Spanish giants signed Trent Alexander-Arnold with a long-term contract

The defender's rehabilitation is advancing smoothly, raising possibility that the Real Madrid right-back could recover soon enough to play against his previous team Liverpool in November's European tie.

The English international sustained a hamstring injury during a match against French club Marseille in the initial phase of the tournament on 16 September.

Alexander-Arnold was forced off the field in the early stages, with early estimates suggesting a potential layoff of up to six weeks.

Real Madrid will travel to play at Liverpool on 4 November for the European match—exactly over a month since the injury occurred.

Sources familiar with the player's condition suggest that the defender's comeback is progressing well, and there is hope that Alexander-Arnold may achieve his initial comeback to Liverpool's stadium since moving to Real Madrid in June.

A lifelong Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold earlier remarked that departing from the club he entered as a young academy talent was the "most difficult decision he has ever taken."

During his time with the Merseyside club, Alexander-Arnold accumulated 354 appearances, helping win two Premier League titles, a Champions League, and the FA Cup.

Since his transfer to Madrid, Alexander-Arnold has played on five occasions across various tournaments, totaling over two and a half hours of game time.
