The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, fiends, and dark forces increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of heroes who will separate from the primary party to begin their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might seem unsuited, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his own means, entering the secret base, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his obligations and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each character has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, desires vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows the northern area and advises that it is a hostile environment.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the party enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This leaves them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to form the Explorers and Strategists parties.

Viewers can expect discovering which characters will be in which group in the season’s concluding setup installment, released on the upcoming Thursday.
