Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a California Traffic Collision

The visionary game developer, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in the state of California aged 55.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.

The renowned game designer died after his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his loved ones, and all those touched by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
